There's no shortage of digital camera resources, comparisons, reviews, tips, tricks and hints around the web. And why wouldn't there be. Next to cell phones, digital cameras are the next biggest selling personal tech gadget available. While the internet has become a more homogeneous mix, there's no denying that the online population still has a very large percentage of gadget lovers (translation: geeks).
While having all that information at your fingertips can sound helpful, it can also be overwhelming, confusing, and just plain intimidating. Places like Google, Yahoo, MSN and all the social bookmarking sites like Digg and FaceBook try to help. Unfortunately those sites are under constant bombardment by marketing departments, sales people, and spammers in an abundance. Who can you trust?
Friends and family are your best bet. In spite of the wonder that the internet is, there's no substitute for simple word of mouth. Chances are you know someone who has gone though lots of junk sites trying to find helpful information. Use them as your own personal Google. Ask what sites they've found to be most helpful.
